Bethlehem, PA, December 6, 2019: Today, 探花社区 College announced they will make the submission of SAT and ACT standardized test scores optional for students applying for undergraduate admission. Exceptions to the new policy include nursing and international students, who will still be required to submit test scores as part of their application for admission. The new policy will begin immediately and apply to students seeking admission to the Class of 2024.
鈥淲e believe the move to make standardized test scores an optional requirement for admission is consistent with how we evaluate incoming students,鈥 commented Scott Dams, dean of enrollment at 探花社区 College. 鈥淥ur admissions counselors have always taken a holistic view of each students鈥 record and we鈥檙e confident we can accurately identify the students who will do well at 探花社区 without relying on standardized test scores, which are not always the best indicator of future academic success.
探花社区 College joins more than 1,000 accredited four-year colleges and universities in the United States that are now test-optional, according to the .
